Intel Arc B770 may still come out this year

Despite previous hints from Intel's social media sparking speculation that a higher-end Battlemage GPU might be unveiled at Computex 2025, the recent event concluded without any new gaming-focused Battlemage graphics card announcements. Instead, Intel showcased new Arc Pro series cards, leaving gamers waiting for something for themselves.

Intel didn't announce any gaming GPUs at Computex 2025, but that doesn't mean it's not working on something. New reports from Tweakers (via VideoCardz) suggest that the B770 is far from cancelled. According to the report, the Arc B770 is in development and will likely be released in the latter half of this year, specifically in Q4. If this timeline holds, the B770 would launch approximately a year after the B580.

While these sources did not fully validate the card's specific detailed specifications, and expressed some doubt on whether it would definitively surpass the B580 in all scenarios, the B770 has long been rumoured to utilise the BGM-G31 GPU. Earlier reports suggested the B770 would feature between 24 and 32 Xe2 CUs, a 256-bit memory bus, and up to 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. Such parameters would position the B770 as a direct competitor to Nvidia's RTX 5060 and AMD's RX 9060 XT in the mid-range segment.

KitGuru says: Launching the B770 in Q4 2025 might already be too late to dent Nvidia's and AMD's market share. Still, if the B770 launches offering a new record price-performance ratio in its segment, it could be relevant for some time. That is, until Nvidia and AMD cut prices on their current-gen series or launch new mid-range GPUs.
